History

After 10 years of breeding Hans Sommeregger was exceedingly happy about the very first litter of Blue Mountain Shepherd. Because of their uniqueness this new breed of dog are still very rare. They are a kind of Gizmo amongst dog lovers. 

The Blue Mountain Shepherd is similar to the Belgium and the Canadian white Shepard dog. Additionally, the colour makes the dog look interesting. The Blue Mountain Shepherd decent from a Canadian white Shepherd.

The Blue Mountain Shepherd is a resistant healthy dog with well developed instincts.

They are noble and intelligent companions,very proud, sensitive, and familiy-friendly.

Our puppies are looked after with great care before they are passed on to future owners at the age of 7-8 weeks. They are inoculated and dewormed at this time.

A fully grown Blue Mountain Shepherd reaches a shoulder height of 60-70cm and a body weight of 30-38kg.

Special traits are their ears which are pointing straight upwards, as well as its noble poise. They come in different shades but silver grey is the most desired colour.
